Terri Leo Wilson started her life in public service after a distinguished career in education. Graduating Summa Cum Laude, with undergraduate degrees in Elementary and Special Education, and a Master’s Degree in Educational Administration from Texas A&M University Commerce, she brought a wealth of expertise to her roles as a teacher, case manager, and department administrator. In this capacity, Terri predominantly served middle school students with special needs in Texas public schools.
Transitioning from the classroom to the Capitol, Terri's inaugural term as a state legislator was marked by remarkable achievements. Elected to represent House District 23, she quickly emerged as a formidable force, ranking as the most conservative freshman member of the 88th Legislative Session. Notably, in the Mark P. Jones’ Rice University poll, Terri secured the 9th most conservative position among all legislators, a testament to her unwavering commitment to conservative principles.
Terri's effectiveness as a legislator was evident in her prolific output, surpassing the average House member in terms of legislation passed during their first session. Her dedication to advancing conservative values resonated with her constituents and colleagues alike, establishing her as an effective legislator.
Terri and her husband Dave reside on Galveston Island and have five children and five grandchildren.
Nathan Watkins answered the call to serve when he joined the Navy’s Special Warfare community. Nathan served as a Naval Special Boat Operator: crewing high-speed combat craft to insert and extract SEALs, conduct coastal reconnaissance and raids, and provide maritime fire support for our military. During his deployment to Iraq, Nathan learned the true meaning of sacrifice, leadership, and discipline under pressure. His time in uniform instilled a deep sense of duty and patriotism that continues to guide his life and public service today.Following his military career, Nathan brought that same commitment to service home to Texas. As City Manager of Mont Belvieu, helped with transparency, fiscal discipline, and a focus on results. Nathan has overseen responsible growth, strengthened infrastructure, and ensured that taxpayer dollars are managed with integrity and accountability. At his core, Nathan is a husband, father, and man of faith. He believes in building strong families and strong communities rooted in Texas values. His greatest motivation is creating a safer, more prosperous future for his children and for every Texas family who calls this state home.
