Major Barrett A. McNabb, U.S. Army (Retired), is a decorated Combat Veteran, Houston business owner, and former Republican candidate for Texas’ 38th Congressional District. His career spans military leadership, international security cooperation, entrepreneurship, and public service.

Raised in Houston, Barrett earned a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Sam Houston State University and received his commission as an Infantry Officer in 1999. He served with the 82nd Airborne Division and completed combat tours in Iraq and Afghanistan. His assignments included leading Paratroopers, advising the Afghan National Army on operations and intelligence, and commanding an Infantry Company.

As a Foreign Area Officer, Barrett focused on the Middle East and North Africa. He served at the U.S. Embassy in Rabat, Morocco, coordinating military exercises and security cooperation, and later held regional leadership positions with U.S. Army Central Command, including responsibility for the Arabian Peninsula and Levant. His military honors include two Bronze Star Medals, two Meritorious Service Medals, the Combat Infantryman Badge, and the U.S. Department of State Meritorious Honor Award. He is also Airborne, Air Assault, and Pathfinder qualified.

After retiring from the Army in 2015, Barrett brought his leadership experience to small business, becoming an owner-operator of five The Joint Chiropractic clinics in the greater Houston area, and he is the founder and CEO of Consolidated Wellness Management Group, Inc. His achievements earned him The Joint Chiropractic’s 2017 Franchisee of the Year award and a Veteran Entrepreneurial MVP Award from Multi-Unit Franchising magazine in 2020. He also served as president of The National Franchise Advisory Board in 2022 and 2023.

Barrett’s Congressional campaign emphasized border security, energy independence, fiscal responsibility, and the freedoms that enable families and small businesses to thrive. A major policy focus was winning the race in artificial intelligence, quantum computing, and fusion energy. Barrett coined the term 'Digital Dome’ to place it alongside the Golden Dome in importance. Drawing on his experience in uniform and as an employer, he brings a practical perspective to national security, economic opportunity, and the responsibilities of leadership.

Barrett and his wife, Kimberly, a certified public accountant, live in Houston with their two children, Cade and Scarlett.
