October 20th Meeting – Peyton LaBauve

He got his start in politics in 2015 when he was elected Student Body President at Angelo State University, in San Angelo, Texas where he was also on the San Angelo Pachyderm Executive Board and working for Greg Abbott’s reelection campaign. After graduating with his Bachelors in Biology he continued on with Greg Abbott’s 2018 reelection campaign and then went on the get a Masters of Healthcare Administration and a Nursing Facility Managers License at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center.

As Student Body President at Angelo State University he won multiple local awards and a National Award, Student Leader of the Year, at a Nation Wide Conference of Student Governments in 2017. In 2021 his Young Republican Club in College Station won Best New Club and Best Small Club of the year.

He is a veteran of the AirForce and is a resident of Galveston island where he is also a member of the Galveston Rotary and works in healthcare administration.

He is an organizer of young people and a proud leader in the conservative youth movement. Today he will discuss with us young people in the Republican Party, who the Young Republicans are, and what they believe in.
