Guest Speaker: Judge Steve Rogers
Judge Steve Rogers was first elected to the bench in Texas on a “Tired of Crime” platform. He is a 7th generation Texan, with roots dating back to the Republic’s original settlers. Judge Rogers is a second career lawyer and has spent two decades practicing law.
He served as Senior Counsel to title and real estate service companies in the Fortune 500, a multinational oil services firm in Houston, and General Counsel to several smaller organizations. He practiced law in both local and Federal courts from 2003 until his election to the 268th District Court as a Texas Judge.
Born and raised in Houston, he attended The Kinkaid School and Second Baptist School. He completed his undergraduate business degree at Baylor University and his Master of Business Administration degree at Pepperdine University. While working in sales and finance, he completed his law degrees at Trinity Law School and Regent Law School.
Judge Rogers has been married for over 21 years to his wife Rebecca, and they have four children: Emily, John, Mac, and Will. Members of St. Laurence Catholic Church, Steve worked with his wife for more than ten years leading marriage and family preparation classes, promoting healthy marriages and strong families in Greater Houston.
In his free time, he raises Olde English Babydoll Southdown sheep on his farm in Needville, Texas.

THE 14TH COURT OF APPEALS
Texas’ Fourteenth Court of Appeals was created in 1967. The Court is composed of a Chief Justice and eight justices. It has intermediate appellate jurisdiction of both civil and criminal cases appealed from lower courts in Austin, Brazoria, Chambers, Colorado, Fort Bend, Galveston, Grimes, Harris, Waller, and Washington counties.
