Rocky Malloy is the chief executive officer, CEO, and founder of Mission Generation. After serving as a U.S. Merchant Marine officer, Rocky started ministry on the church staff in San Diego, CA. He was a humanitarian aid worker in Central America during the Sandinista-Contra conflict before returning to the pastorate in La Marque, TX. With his wife, Joke, Rocky established the River of Life Church in Santa Cruz, Bolivia, and founded Mission Generation. A native of North Carolina, a published author, and a proud father of five children, Mr. Malloy directs all international and domestic activities of Mission Generation and its affiliate ministries. Julie Pickren has a longstanding education leadership experience while serving in many capacities including serving as a board member of two Christian private schools, an Alvin ISD Trustee from 2015-2021, and an education policy advisor for many states. During her tenure as Alvin ISD Trustee, Mrs. Pickren saw many successes and awards. Alvin ISD is a fast growing school district that built 9 new schools while honoring the state compressed tax rate, thus, saving the taxpayers millions of dollars. She has received many awards for fiscal responsibility and student success and an Honor Board Award. Mrs. Pickren is proud of her record as being a huge proponent for teachers. Under her leadership, Alvin ISD lead the state with teacher salaries and benefits and had one of the highest amounts of their M&O budget directly tied to the classroom. Julie believes that together we can ensure our children’s education prepares them to achieve the American Dream with Texas Values.
Pickren represents the State Board of Education District 7 Counties of Brazoria, Chambers, Fort Bend, Galveston, Hardin, Jasper, Jefferson, Liberty, Newton, Orange, and Tyler.
