Guest Speaker: Sheriff Henry Trochesset
Sheriff Henry Trochesset is a lifelong resident of Galveston County and resides in Santa Fe with his wife, Brenda, of 37 years. They have three children and nine grandchildren.
He is an active member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Hitchcock where he serves on the Parish Counsel and sings in the church choir. Henry is also a member of the Knights of Columbus Order 10393 in Hitchcock and various other county wide organizations.
Sheriff Trochesset has been an employee with the Galveston County Sheriff’s office for the past 36 years as a deputy holding various ranks and leadership.
Sheriff Trochesset took office in 2013, and began his tenure with more than 480 full-time personnel and 50 part-time personnel.
Under his command, the Sheriff’s office operates the following divisions:
- Correctional Division
- Patrol and Marine Division
- Warrants and Civil Process
- Criminal Investigations
- Bailiffs
- Mental Health
- Forensic Services Unit
- Office of Professional Standards
- School Liaison
- Communications, Training and Administration
Sheriff Trochesset holds the following certifications and training:
- Master Peace Officer Certification
- Master Jailer Certification
- Instructors Certification
- Graduate FBI National Academy Class 243
- Graduate Law Enforcement Command College
Sheriff Trochesset participates in State and National level Sheriff training, leadership and knowledge sharing events and association meetings.
