The Galveston Island Pachyderm Club

Chartered in 1995 as a chapter of the Grand Order of Pachyderm Clubs, Galveston is one of the largest Pachyderm Club in Texas. It is our belief that most of the corrupting influences in American Politics could be erased and government made more responsive by one basic improvement. That is, simply for more good citizens to participate in politics. “We get the government we deserve, not the one we wish for,” remains a guide-star for a free people. We offer a meaningful movement of political clubs as the most practical means by which a broad citizen participation in politics may be achieved.

We meet on the 1st Thursday of every month at noon at the Coastal Grill, 1827 Strand Street, Galveston, TX during odd numbered years and every Thursday at noon during even numbered years. Our speakers include elected officials, candidates, government agency heads, and political activists. Guests are welcome. No reservations needed.
