The Galveston Island Pachyderm Club
Mission Statement
Promote active citizen involvement, and education in government and politics, through the formation and
support of grassroots, Republican Clubs across America.
Chartered in 1995 as a chapter of the Grand Order of Pachyderm Clubs, Galveston is one of the largest Pachyderm Clubs’ in Texas. It is our belief that most of the corrupting influences in American Politics could be erased and government made more responsive by one basic improvement. That is, simply for more good citizens to participate in politics. “We get the government we deserve, not the one we wish for,” remains a guide-star for a free people. We offer a meaningful movement of political clubs as the most practical means by which a broad citizen participation in politics may be achieved.
We meet on the 1st Thursday of every month at noon at the Coastal Grill, 1827 Strand Street, Galveston, TX during odd numbered years, and we meet 1st and 3rd Thursdays at noon during even numbered years. Our speakers include elected officials, candidates, government agency heads, and political activists.
Guests are welcome. No reservations needed. Order from the Coastal Grill lunch menu on their website. There is also a cash bar available. Please don’t forget to TIP our wait staff.
If more good citizens would participate in politics we could remove some of the most corrupting influences of it.
“We get the government we deserve, not the one we wish for.”
We offer a meaningful way by which citizen participation in politics may be achieved. Come join us!
