Peyton LaBauve is the statewide Policy Director for the Texas Young Republican Federation and the current President of the Galveston Young Republicans.&nsbp;
Peyton got his start in politics in 2015 when he was elected Student Body President at Angelo State University, in San Angelo, Texas where he was also on the San Angelo Pachyderm Executive Board and worked for Greg Abbott’s reelection campaign. After graduating with his Bachelors in Biology he continued on with Greg Abbott’s 2018 reelection campaign and then went on the get a Masters of Healthcare Administration at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. He also obtained a Nursing Facility Administrators License at that time.

As Student Body President at Angelo State University he won multiple local awards and a National Award, Student Leader of the Year, at a Nation Wide Conference of Student Governments in 2017. In 2021 his Young Republican Club in College Station won Best New Club and Best Small Club of the year. As Statewide Policy Director he leads 7 subcommittees on various policy priorities as well as all lobbying efforts at the Texas Legislature and across the state as it pertains to the policy priorities of the Texas Young Republican Federation.

Peyton is also a veteran of the AirForce and a resident of Galveston island where he is also a member of the Galveston Rotary and manages a local healthcare facility.
